I use them for skype and a voice chat program paltalk. The cord is heavier than most I would catch the lil cords in the arm of my chair or catch it in my desk drawer, I'm very hard on headset cords. After a month these are still going. Microphone is great my friends hear me clearly. It also has an inline cord for volume which I was not expecting. As I said I am hard on them so I bought two glad I did would definately buy these again. So far as packaging that was also, good thankyou amazon for carrying this product. Headphones don't typically last long for me and these are good quality if you are like me in that respect. They have a good sound quality (both incoming and outgoing) and they are relatively comfortable to wear. I'm a gamer so I'd wear mine for extended periods of time and they can be slightly irritating to the cartilage on the upper portion of your ear but I'd say they do that no more than any other set of non-sound canceling headphones.
